A Century of British Horology Revived
The story of Duckworth Prestex begins in 1869 with Prestons of Bolton, once one of the United Kingdom's most respected family jewellery and watchmaking dynasties. In 1924, Gordon Duckworth created the Prestex brand to produce high-grade British wristwatches and chronographs that rivalled the best of Switzerland.
Nearly a century later, his grandson Neil Duckworth — a legendary watch industry veteran who famously introduced TAG Heuer to the British market in the 1980s — revived the family brand. His mission: deliver authentic British heritage designs with premium materials and honest pricing.
The Parker Classic captures that golden age of 1930s British tailoring, when wristwatches were considered works of sculptural art designed to accompany bespoke evening wear and tailored lounge suits.
